How we got started:
Years ago, Janet and Jason worked on a contract together. We found that our work ethics aligned and our goals were similar. It is simple, we work hard, we get things done, and we want to make a difference for our customers. Since we are doers and thinkers, we wanted to be able to surround ourselves with like minded people. The only way to ensure the right people are aligned with our values and customers, was to start our own company where the people embrace learning, are driven by making an impact, and find pride in the work they do.

Janet Reeves, President and CEO; Co-Founder of Synergy:

Janet started her career as a High School Science Teacher, her passion for learning and sharing her knowledge has never waned. You will find that she is driven by educating and empowering her employees and customers alike. After a few short years serving her community as a teacher, she found herself as a corporate trainer, training government contractors on emerging technologies and ensuring they could implement their newly acquired knowledge. Janet is always wanting to learn more, in the mid 90s she picked up an HTML book and started developing websites which paved the way for her IT career. Janet set her sites on career goals, she obtained her MS in CIS, and sought-out a position as IT Director for a DoD contracting company. As opportunities emerged, she pushed herself to learn more and helped a company she was working for go from CMMI ML2 to CMMI ML3. She discovered PMOs and how they can make a company go from good to great. She has led Knowledge Management contracts, established PMOs for 2 Federal agencies and a large government contracting company. Janet believes in giving back, she volunteers with her dog at Inova Fairfax Hospital, and builds homes in the Dominican Republic for those less fortunate.
